Hi Rob a beautiful photo, the head and "antennas" and the colours are fantastic as well as the wings! What was your shooting distance here and did you set the flash manually (with limited output) or automatic TTL? Did you use any additional lightning (I would guess) or only that single Metz flash? I get slightly underexposured photos with TTL flash on a Pentax AF280T and the SFXn here when going closer than 30cm sometimes, where setting the flash manually to "low" setting works fine...., but maybe it's the reflecting surface of the white clay figures?
any ideas? greetings Markus - This image highlights the potential zero-grain advantage of a DSLR in small format macro photography (warning .... bug (Dolichopodid), about 5.5mm tip to tail): http://home.swiftdsl.com.au/~distudio/temp/IMGP9046.jpg Tech: *ist D, ISO200, Av, Multi-seg metering, EC -0.7, hot shoe mounted TTL Metz 36CT2/SCA372, A200/4 Macro (1:1) + AF1.7 TC @ f14, hand held Comments welcome.
