Yes

Less likely to have problems but buy from known vendors in any case as I 
suspect a lot of the cards that end up on eBay and the like are second quality. 
I use cards from Ritek and Hitachi and I haven't had any problems what so ever.

Too, long, buy a cheap card reader or be prepared to find yourself something to 
do for 25+ minutes, it will also consume additional time in the extra battery 
maintenance.

I don't know of a specific page, the archives are full of interesting tidbits
