In addition to what Paul mentioned, when you go to reshoot it, try moving the light closer.
You are getting a hot spot from your light, get it close enough, and increase the size of the modifer to the point the hotspot goes away. The rapid exposure falloff from having the light close will aid in getting the face toned down while preserving the saturation in the body of the object.
