In the English user manual you will find the following text:

Page 2: "Battery performance may be temporarily hindered in low temperatures, 
but will recover in normal temperatures."

"The temperature range for camera use is 0�C to 40�C."

Page 22: "AA lithium batteries
It is recommended that you use these batteries in cold climates. It shows
a fine performance in such cold temperatures."

Page 24: "Battery performance temporarily decreases as the temperature 
decreases. When using the camera in cold climates, have extra batteries on 
hand, keeping them warm in your pocket. Battery performance will return to 
normal when returned to room temperature."
