The temperature here in Soutern Ontario has improved a lot since David ventured out with *istD on the weekend. This morning it was a balmy -4C so I went tobogganing with my little friend Kelly and took my *istDs along. The sky was very overcast, with just a glimmer of sun through the clouds - a very monochromatic landscape with the bare trees stark against the crest of the hill. Hope you like it. Details ------- Camera: *istDs Lens: FA 28-90mm (@48mm) Speed: 1/250 Aperture: F8 Mode: Program I did encounter one problem which I'm guessing is related to the sub-zero temperatures. I tried using 'continous shooting' mode to record Kelly's descent down the hill but after three shots the camera hung up and the battery indicator showed 'empty'. I switched the camera off and on, and the battery indicator showed 'full' again. I'd loaded up with some fully charged NIMH 1800mAh this morning so the batteries should have been fine. The CR-V3s which came with the camera finally gave out this morning after a total of over 1100 shots. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Fred Widall, Email: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] URL: http://www.ist.uwaterloo.ca/~fwwidall ----------------------------------------------------------------------
