Define 'dross' ;-) If in doubt I don't delete, and even then I probably delete only 1 or 2 shots per hundred - and never on the rear LCD, unless the shutter is inadvertently pressed by accident. Even then you can get some interesting results - a random shutter fired by a bump to the camera: who took the picture? What is it of? Love it.
