Hi Albano,

Practically there is very little difference in "perceived" DOF between 35mm 
format and APS format shots when lenses providing an equivalent print size and 
AOV are used. In fact you might find that you have more flexibility in the case 
of using a 50mm lens on the *ist D because you can use an f1.2 lens if you so 
desire.
