Yeah, well, that's the other thing I didn't mention - it took UPS 4
weeks to get the damn thing up here from California, only to then hit me
with the "brokerage fee".  I've completed 12 auctions over the last year
from eBay, all from the US, plus I bought a lens from one of our list
members in the US, and the average shipping time by post is 7-10 days.

The Post Office has only hit me with Customs, Excise, GST, Duty,
whatever, on 3 or 4 of those occasions - it really seems to be a
hit-or-miss thing, at least for cheaper items.

That's why I now specify "mail only, please".  BTW, General Screw Tax?
Is that something that they only charge us Spotmatic owners?  That
doesn't seem fair!!
