That's what I use on my notebook; a plain ordinary USB LogiTech Optical MouseMan Wheel Mouse. My wife uses the wireless variant on hers. Both of these are machines that get used many hours a day - they are our primary business machines. We've been using LogiTech products for over a decade, now, with no complaints (the first product we bought was their left-handed three-button mouse).
