Another problem has arisen with my *ist-DS. This afternoon the autofocus stopped working for no apparent reason. I tried using two other lenses to ensure that it was a problem with the body and not the specific lens. None of the lenses would autofocus.
I verified that the camera was indeed in autofocus mode. I also tried a fresh set of batteries, just in case. Looks like I need a replacement after all. I've emailed my contact at Pentax Canada.
