Of course. I've seen many large format contact prints, including those at MOMA. I've also spoken to Clint Clemens, who has a print on display at MOMA and who once shot a lot of large format. (He now shoots digital exclusively.) Of course large format wins the day if you're considering finite resolution only. But if you want to talk about control and photographer input in the final result, digital is still a better answer. As I said, fine art photogrphers will continue to shoot film for some time to come. But the numbers will grow smaller and smaller. And BW is no longer exclusive to film.
