No way. If they think those images rival what they're getting from
their 'blads, they need to have their lenses checked and their focus
plane calibrated, or have a good shout at whatever lab is printing their
work out of focus.
I've seen good stuff from a D1, and I made a nice 20x30 from an image
from one of the Canon ones (I neglected to ask which), where the image
had been blown up with that Genuine Fractals or whatever it's called
program. There was a distinct lack of digital blockiness, which was
nice, but there was also no fine detail in the image. Perhaps in a
wedding situation this is acceptable, or not noticeable, if, say, plenty
of softening has already been done to the image...but that doesn't make
it as good as a Hasselblad.

I'm going to try to convince Pentax Canada to bring the digital baby
over if/when they get their hands on it so I can give them a really big
print from it, so we can both see what it's really capable of. We'll
see what they say. :)
