You can't write a review without actually handling the camera. It's dishonest at best. I never actually heard of Ken Rockwell before and now I think I can safely ignore anything I hear about him in the future.
I'd heard of his site before -- hadn't read anything complimentary about it, though.
FWIW, he gave the *istD a good review and didn't say anything about not handling it. Didn't say anything about it was a "FLAW" -- not even the battery issue that seems to offend him so much on the *istDs.

with it. The guy appears to be an opinionated idiot. He's decided he didn't like the Camera before he's even seen it.
I find it funny, about the battery issue, I was able to get two sets of NiHM's and charger for $16.00. Battery life has
been exceptional so far. Even if I had to get two more sets of NiHM's the cost would be considerably less than a spare
Battery for the Digital Rebel, about $50.00 and the Charger, about $50.00. I know it would have been nice of Pentax
to supply a set and some kind of charger with the camera but with this price differential it's hardly a huge issue. The added
flexibility in power supply is well worth the small hassle.

I can understand why mankind hasn't given up war. During a war you get to drive tanks through the sides of buildings and shoot foreigners - two things that are usually frowned on during peacetime.
