Just as an aside;
In a local photo club we have done projections of both 35mm slides (leica projector) and digital (Epson LCD) on the same canvas. What strikes me as odd is that the perceived quality is higher for a 1024x768 pixel digital image than for a slide with much higher resolution. It's simply a lot more pleasing to look at.
Granted, it was a PITA to get the colour adjustments right, but once worked out the viewing experience was really stunning.
