Contrary to what others have said, faster film or a faster lens would not
of helped you one bit - you had the ZX-50 at it's fastest shutter speed -
1/2000. All a faster film would of gained is extra DOF, which you have
plenty of. The only thing you can do to freeze the action in a situation
like this would be a camera with a faster shutter, MZ-3 or SF-1n has
1/4000, MZ-S 1/6000, and PZ-1(p) has 1/8000. But I wouldn't bother with
that, I would use slower film to give you less DOF and isolate the subjects
from the busy backgroud. As for the motion blur I like it, as it shows
better what's going on.
If you really want to freeze the action, try taking pictures in a dark room
with the flash. That will freeze the action, plus you don't need a new
camera to do this.
