I've got a cord, but I don't think my flash has a pc socket on it. I'll check (actually, I thought of it last night, then forgot). Thanks for the tip. I did remove and replace the prism a few times, just in case a contact between the prism and the body came loose or something, and just needed to be jiggled, but that didn't do anything.
