The edges should look sharper than the same lens rendering to a full 35mm frame but the lenses absolute resolution says the same. So on a smaller surface areas more magnification need to be applied in order to achieve the same print size. As such any inherent aberrations are magnified. A quick test using a high contrast target and a good TC like the AF1.7 will quickly reveal whether the lens has more or less resolving power than the current 6MP bodies.
