Nah, IŽd say that the Earles forks have a tendency to jack up the front when braking.
Well adjusted drum brakes are about as good as disc brakes, the reasons for the use of them was resistance to grabbing when not-so-well adjusted and even better resistance to fading - but disks are not immune to either.
