Amita, The last company I worked for employed a staff photographer. All product, mostly sporting goods, went to her before being displayed on the company web site. She photographed most of the smaller items in a white posterboard box held together with tape on the outside. Think of a cube, about three feet to a side, and missing two adjacent sides. This should allow for easy photoshop editing of digital images or scans.
