...today I was actually using a tourch/flash light to see through the coloured "glass" of my (vintage (1997) Epson Stylus Photo) printer, to try to see the print before it actually came out. of :-)

More psychology: In the old days of continuous-feed paper for computer printers I often found myself waiting for a very long print-out, and looking round the back of the printer to see how much was still left to print...
