If the middle part of the mirror is in focus, that means the mirror is out 
of alignment and could be fixed by professional only. And to recalibrate the 
mirror (not just the screws under the mirror), the whole LX has to be 
stripped down (told by Pentax HK two years ago). I believe this is not an 
uncommon problem assicated with the mighty LX (to some anyway). But instead 
of keep spending money on my illed LX, I decided to let go and bought a Z-1p 
for a peace of mind. I have never had any used bodies with so much trouble 
before.
