I'm relieved because I was afraid that I had a defective camera.
The batteries are of different ages, one set is over four years old.
I don't think NiMh batteries have a really long life expectancy.
Fortunately, they are cheap enough that replacement sets don't break the bank.
Could be worse, those proprietary Canon batteries are a price too, and have a 5 or so year life expectancy, from what I hear.
