Well, as you know, I don't have a Pentax DSLR, although I am seriously
considering a Ds sometime next year...but I do use Pentax lenses on my
camera, so I'll take a chance and answer...

Got camera 6 months ago, shot 4000 frames. So will be up to 50,000 in
just over 6 years. By the time I reach the life of the shutter, it will
be 25 years. I'll be 70.
