For Canon users, obviously around $8K. For Pentax users, who knows? I just know what I would be willing to pay.

OTOH, I could just say Pentax take a hike, (except that I just got the 67 about an hour ago). I don't really have a heck of alot invested in Pentax.... $5000 maybe, not counting the 67 and two lenses.

Why do you think sensors will go up in price?

at what price? i think a FF DSLR will be worse than the *istD if it has to meet your price point. sensors aren't cheap and are not dropping in price at that size. if anything, i expect sensors in that size range to go up in price.

Not trying to belabor the issue. Just trying to say I believe there is a market for such, probably with all 35mm SLR mfr's because of the abundance of legacy lenses.
