Keep the control wheels, if they put those on, you can forget about the aperture simulator.
Why? The ultimate film camera epitomising Pentax's achievements *has* to support the film lenses. Just like the PZ-1p did.
The times have changed. They aren't supporting K lenses anymore. Specify no control wheels and they have to.....
I would prefer a horizontal shutter, even though it means a loss of high speed flash sync.
I really need that sometimes... I was shooting an outdoor christening in October midday (Crete is a bit tropical sometimes :-) and flash was very useful. It was not nice being limited to 1/100.
It's nicer to have a reliable shutter for the long haul. I've burnt out too many vertical shutters to really trust them for the long term.
I'll take a manual film advance, thank you, but throw a high speed motor
drive into the kit, and make the film advance gears out of metal , rather
than plastic, if you please.
No, I don't agree, when I added the winder to the ME-Super I realised that it was pointless; even the SFXn outperformed it.
You obviously haven't seen a real camera, with a real motor drive.
The Me-Super is a nice little toy, but nothing more.
A real motor will run a camera at 7 FPS or more, but will be on the big side.
Thats why I want a two peice unit, I don't want to carry that much weight all the time, just when I actually need it.
