You seem to have forgotten about the fire in the memory factory in Japan. They 
used it as an excuse to raise prices 400%, and within a year they had ten other 
countries competing with them.

Not trying to belabor the issue. Just trying to say I believe there is a market for such, probably with all 35mm SLR mfr's because of the abundance of legacy lenses.
