This is a 500% enlarged crop from a shot taken with the D at
2 seconds with a lens cap on.
It's quite visible at 100% if against a dark background.
This is the first time I've noticed it and I don't see any others.
It "bleeds" into the surrounding pixels.

Is this an evil "Hot Pixel"?
If so can I kill it somehow?

Yup, thats a hottie allright.
Turn on noise reduction, forget about the thing, and remember that you will occassionally have to clone it out.
My istD has lots of hotties if I go looking, but they don't seem to show up in normal shooting all that often.
