If it starts out in colour, it should stay in colour. It can never be ~real~ b&w <gd&r>. Okay, aside from my "old film curmudgeon" comments, I think this is a terrific photo. She may have seemed shy in real life, but I don't get that from the photo. She's looking right at the camera, and she's got that big beautiful smile: she appears open and vivacious.
