Are you talking about the Sigma 100-300 4.5/6.7 DL or the 100-300 F4 EX? I'm guessing the first one (I have the f4 and it's great) I don't know about the Tamron 28-300 XR - the new Di version. I used to own a 28-200 XR about 18 months ago and was totally unimpressed with it. I sold it on pretty quickly. I can't see the 28-300 being any better, but maybe it is if you only use it up to 200 :-) I also used to own a Sigma 70-300 Apo Macro Super. Results at 300mm were hideous but that was ok up to about 200mm. Not being much help am I <g> Wendy Beard Ottawa, Canada
