This is pretty strange bokeh too...

Taken with a Pentax F100-300/4.5-5.6 @ 300mm f/6.3. The detail portion is exactly as it came out of the camera, processed at the Camera Raw defaults.

Focus seemed to be right on the money ... in the full frame, those plants at the bottom left were in the same plane as the lamp housing, and the lines in the lamp housing and on the lamppost resolve in the image as expected. But oh those leaves behind and around it!

Makes me think this is a mirror lens... ;-)

try the Sigma 50-500 for an acceptable 10X zoom. bokeh is really strange at the long end, but i think all Sigma lenses i have tried have odd bokeh. that's one reason for going small apertures and getting maximum DOF.
