Haven't seen this on the list: Hi Godfrey,
This is an interesting shot but the partly obscured person is a real distraction and contributes little to the photo or the story. Seeing more of the person may have made the photo more interesting and dynamic. Or perhaps not seeing the face at all, but just the hand, would be an improvement. As it is now the partly hidden person is more like a bug on a windshield, there but annoying. The tonality doesn't seem quite right, either, but damned if I can put my finger on why. There's something about the skin tone, especially on the hand doing the pointing, that seems not right - maybe the jeans and the hand are too close in tone. I'd like to see more detail in the man's dark shirt or sweater. Not saying that more detail would be better, but just interested in a comparison. Finally, cloning out that "handle" or whatever it is would, methinks, go a long way to improving the "flow" of the photo. There's a nice, almost rhythmic, line to the forward fellow, but the interruption of that handle thingy disrupts it. Well, you asked ;-)) Shel > [Original Message] > From: Godfrey DiGiorgi <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: PDML <[email protected]> > Date: 4/5/2005 11:35:47 AM > Subject: PAW: People & Portraits #14 > > Next in the continuing series of people and portraits ... > > http://homepage.mac.com/ramarren/photo/PAW5/14.htm > > Comments always appreciated. > > enjoy > Godfrey
