I used a 45-125 for over 15 years and was quite pleased with it. When
I bought it used from a photography instructor, the zoom ring was a little loose
(guess it was a high-miler), but it never got any worse. I noticed a
little pincushion distortion at 125mm, but other than that it seemed fine.
By today's standards, who knows? Anyway, I liked the focal length range
(it was my everyday lens) and the constant aperture, as well as the constant
focus (focus sharply at 125, then zoom back to the length you need).
When I got my MZ-5n in '97, I got new lenses to go with it and gave the MX
outfit (camera, M 28/2.8, M 50/2.0, K 45-125/4.0, M 200/4.0, K T6-2X doubler,
plus flash, etc.) to my daughter, who was a reporter/photographer for a small
newspaper in northern Ontario at the time. As far as I know, she's still
using it.
