In fact, every night as we eat our dinner, my kids take great delight out of clinking their glasses and pronouncing "cheers big ears" and then competing to see who can come up with another similar rhyme that is just as "funny". Last night, I believe the "winner" was "drink your drink, you really stink!"

OK. I've got to ask. What does Cheers, big ears mean is Strine? I would occasionally get called big ears back in the 80's when I was a musician playing the Boston blues scene. That was a compliment which meant that I heard and reacted to what was going on around me musically. I assume this is not the same meaning. :)
