If you can save the approriate funds, the Tamron 90/2.8 is quite a performer!
You get to double your working distance,a dn end up witha lens in the
portrait range that does a
fine job (almost too fine sometimes, being so sharp).

The 90-100 macros seem to give you more flexibility, farther back for your
flash to work, ect!
