I have to partially disagree with that. I've eaten at a couple of the bistro-style places there, and there were definitely some good values to be found if you're just looking for a quick snack. But if you're looking for something more substantial, go an extra couple of blocks. Last time I was in Brussels coincided with the first day of the Mussel season, and I found a tiny little place that specialised in shellfish.
