It is possible the focus of the lens has been shifted a little over the years (loosen set screws inside the lens). It happened to my FA100/2.8 macro some years ago. Just recalibrate the focus of the lens will solve the problem.
Alan, that could make sense. However, would you please tell me how one recalibrates a focus of a lens such as this one?
