Guess you're too subtle for me. Difficult to believe, I know ;-) In case this is your dilemma; If you control the print results, are you (or your lab) unable to set the sharpness to your liking without sacrificing detail? I have not found this a problem with scans of the size I mentioned...or..you may need to look for a new lab.
I use large film by preference.
