I tried it both ways, and both were an improvement, but you're right, the cool filter yields a result that's closer to the original scene. There's rarely any sun at SF beaches in the summer ;-)) I've not had good luck working with individual color channels in curves. Probably need more practice. Thanks so much for your help.
