That's right, the Queen has almost no power except for the right to dismiss 'her' government and call for a general election. Even when things are running smoothly, every 5 years or so the Prime Minister has to go to the Queen and ask for her to dissolve Parliament so that an election can be called. > Her Honourableness could probably do something to help sort out our > present dilemma, were she so inclined.
