There is no practical difference whether to use metal or plastic mount if it was fastened onto a plastic structure. MZ-S carries this design (so to all other MZ/ZX). No doubt the mount will not be able to withstand the same stress as metal structure do, just that we don't know how much difference. But of course, being unable to handle the same amount of stress on the camera mount doesn't make the body itself less durable. Just that the mount itself will be a weak link.
REPLY: This is a misunderstanding. The MZ-S doesn't have a plastic structure. It structure is the outer body and steel reinforcements are used for fastening internal mechanisms. If you have soft body (plasic) you need a skeleton. The MZ-S skeleton is on the outside. P�l
