Don't forget that filters suitable for such wide angle lenses may be obscenely expensive.  I am lucky and am
able to use the Cokin P system filters on my A24/2.8, even though Cokin quotes them as being able to go as wide as 28mm only.  I don't get any noticable vignetting at about f/11 or f/16 but I haven't really used filters on that lens at wider apertures.

I also use cokin P system filters, my favourites are the grey grads G1 & G2 and the polariser. It is true that vignetting tends to occur at short focal lengths.  This tends to happen on lenses that have large front elements since the filter holder tends to get in the way.  This is one of the reasons i'm leaning towards the pentax choices on my lens shortlist because since the filter diameters are smaller. This would mean that with a wide angle of view such as that of a 20 mm lens the geometry of the filter holder is such that it sits cleanly out of the way.

WRT the prices, I got those from the internet, namely Jessops and Pentax UK web sites.  Actually I live in Malta but I haven't had time to get quotes from local stores. Thanks for the heads up on the German site. I'll consider them when I make up my mind.
