If you set the camera to any mode other than Manual, it will switch to Av exposure mode but will not stop the lens down, so you'll get properly exposed photos (unless it's too bright) at wide open aperture.Yes... in some ways, it's even *easier* to use the SM lenses. It's truly WYSIWYG. With the K/M, you have to remember to turn the dial to 'M' mode to make it actually stop down.
For SM lenses, same rig but you must manually close down the lens before metering and making the exposure. Av exposure mode is more useful since you manually stop down the lens before taking the picture.
As far as flashes, putting a non-A lens on makes the internal flash fire fully (GN 15.6m @ ISO200 IIRC). Even with a MF 'A' lens, I think it fires fully (since it doesn't know the distance the lens is focused to). Seems like it should be able to revert to TTL on the internal lens at least, but I don't think it does.
