Hi!

With the recent discussion on reversing lenses and vignetting, I made an adapter with two cokin rings and epoxy glue, and tried the FA 50/1.4 reversed in front of the A*200/4 macro.

There is very little vignetting, even at full opening (f/4), no matter where focus is set with the macro lens.

Optically it seems like a good solution for 4X macro in the field.

With the added weight of the 50mm, the rig isn't too well balanced using the tripod mount on the macro lens. If working without flash, I would definately try some other way to support it.

Jostein, it begs a question - are you building your own FrankenCam? :)

Any shots you can show us yet?

Boris
