I like the idea and the composition of the firet one. Has a sort of dreamy feel to it. A big distraction for me is the blown out detail in the ULH corner inside the 'frame'.

I've seen one or two local authors deliberately P'Shoping their images so that the content would cross the frame... The second one is good technically. I think I can see what you were trying to do.
