I think it is diopter adjustment, not sure it's the same as focusing.

Interesting. Last week I got hold of Magnifier M. I agree it is a good
fit on the eyepiece and that it's a nice accessory, but found it
awkward to use, because the ocular is small enough to, err, hurt my
eye. I guess tripod is more or less compulsory with this.
