Hi Herb its a Canon 9900F and I scan color negative film at 16bit 3200x2400dpi. Maybe I have to do some more adjustments in photoshop or do you really think it is the scanner? It's one of the best flatbed scanner models from scanner for its time and got fine reviews too. greetings Markus
