Sheesh! I'm now in some way obligated to comment on your photos? I comment on those of which that I have something to say that may be worthwhile. There are many photos here that I don't comment on, from many different photographers. But when I do comment - as I have on a couple of your recent pics - I try to go beyond the superficial, and offer suggestions for improvement, or to try new or different techniques, and I've even taken the time to show you how those techniques may change the photo. A recent example was the burnt out sky in you pic of the trail, which I took the time to adjust, describe the technique used, and posted for you to see. Likewise your pic of the gas pump, where I asked about how you focused and so on, and suggested a few things that might improve the pic (or not, as the case may be).
I don't comment on every pic everyone posts. Some photos don't interest me for whatever reason. In some cases there's little or nothing I can add to what was already said. For example, you know I pretty much don't give a rat's ass about poppy pictures, and i didn't comment on them. I don't know much about the subject of flower pics, so, unless a flower photo makes a big impression on me, good or bad, I keep my mouth shut. OTOH, and just to put that in perspective, I spent almost an hour looking at and working on the recently posted pic of your moms's hands late last night with the intent of offering some, hopefully, meaningful comments on the B&W conversion and how you made the exposure and your use of light. I don't always rush into making comments just to keep my average up. So, if you want comments, I'll give you comments. I can say "I like it" as easily as the next person. But big effin' deal. It seems to me that a more meaningful comment, one which has been given some time and thought and consideration, would be more of what you'd want rather than quantity.
