...a full-page Pentax advert containing the following copy:

"At Pentax we've been making some of the world's finest lenses for over 50 years. Now, with the *istDS we've created a digital SLR that's compatible with all of them, with just a few limitations in functions."

Am I the only person to find it amusing that one of the least elegant features of the Pentax digital SLRs (the automatic stop-down metering mode that works around the lack of an aperture indicator coupler) is now one of their major selling points?

Conspiracy theories:
* "This proves that Pentax aren't planning to release any new lenses in the near future." * "This proves that Pentax realise the importance of backwards compatibility; we can expect future bodies to feature the reappearance of the aperture indicator coupler."
* "This is marketing. It means nothing."
