Thanks, I have just looked at PhotoOptix's website. This is the first
time I have seen a combo price. A month or so ago some mail order
companies started advertising body only for �999, and I was hoping to
beat that although I didnt expect the combo quite as cheap as this! At
that time Jessops/PhotoOptix/LCE etc could not give a firm price on the
Body, and were quoting full price �400 for the lens.
Yes I am tempted, but I too had seen the �225 price for the MZ-5N and
there is quite a difference - the 5N is a steal at that price and would
probably do me fine.
I just dont know what to do. I only got back into photography seriously
about a year ago, after my first baby was born, and I dont want to spend
thousands on another body/lenses if the time I spend on photography
dwindles again. I guess this is a personal dilemma, and I can see me
just buying one and hoping for the best - I just better hope the wife
never sees the price tag!

Rob - UK based Photo Optix advertises the MZ-S with a selection of
lenses
including FA24-90 at GBP1099, FA28-80 at GBP769. Tempted yet? (I am!)
Anyway MZ5n is now available very cheaply eg GBP225 body only, or GBP299
with FA28-80.
