I notice Photo Optix ( http://www.photooptix.co.uk/ ) offers the 24-90 for
�399.99. I got mine from Peter at Camera Direct for �380.00 (

The German Pentax website mentions for this lens that it will fit on any
Pentax SLR-model, and that adapters for manufacturers of other brands are
available.

Is Pentax going into third party manufacturing for lenses?
